GRAND FORKS - Grand Forks Red River edged Minot North 6-5 in a thrilling non-conference matchup. Red River improved to 1-0, while Minot North fell to 0-1.

Moses Canteh of Minot North was a standout with a hat trick, scoring in the 1st, 57th, and an unspecified minute. Red River's Zach Bures matched that effort with three goals, including two in the first half.

Red River's Mory Camara contributed significantly with a goal and an assist, while Carson Peters added a crucial goal early in the second half. Minot North's Jayden Marshall also found the net, assisted by Gavin Wald.

Minot North will face Grand Forks Central next on August 16, while Grand Forks Red River prepares to meet Jamestown the same day.
