WILLISTON - Minot and Williston battled to a 2-2 draw in a tightly contested match on Thursday night. Minot now stands at 9-3-4, while Williston's record is 5-8-3.
Amponsah Boateng opened the scoring for Williston in the 2nd minute with an unassisted goal, setting the tone early for the Coyotes. Minot responded in the 16th minute when Grayson Steele found the back of the net, assisted by Briggs McKibben.
Dylan Oswalt gave Minot the lead in the 26th minute with an unassisted goal. However, Williston's Luke Llewellyn equalized just three minutes later, also unassisted, ensuring the match ended in a draw.
Minot remains unbeaten in its last seven matches as it heads into next week's state tournament. Williston concluded its season with a strong finish, going 5-3-3 in its final 11 matches.
