WILLISTON - Mandan-St. Mary's and Williston played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night at WHS Legends Field. Mandan-St. Mary's now holds a 2-2-3 record, while Williston stands at 1-5-1.
Williston's Tiago Bullones opened the scoring in the 71st minute with an assist from Amponsah Boateng. The home team put up a strong defensive effort, with goalkeeper Tristan Boots making nine saves.
Mandan-St. Mary's equalized shortly after in the 75th minute, thanks to an unassisted goal by Caden Wondra. Goalkeeper Tyler Moe was crucial for Mandan-St. Mary's, recording seven saves to help secure the draw.
Mandan-St. Mary's remains unbeaten in its last five matches. They will face Minot North (3-2 WDA, 3-4 overall) on September 9. Williston will look to build on this performance as they prepare to face Dickinson (0-6 WDA, 0-6 overall) on September 5.
