BISMARCK - Bismarck Legacy edged Williston 1-0 in a tightly contested boys' soccer match, improving to 16-0 in the Western Dakota Association and 16-1 overall, while Williston fell to 5-8-2 in both conference and overall play.
Kellen Okerson scored the match's only goal in the 41st minute, assisted by Eduard Abramciuc, to secure the victory for Legacy. The home team displayed strong defensive play throughout the match.
Goalkeeper James Erickson was pivotal in maintaining the clean sheet for Legacy, recording six saves. On the other side, Tristan Boots kept Williston in the game with nine saves, showcasing his skills in goal.
Legacy will next face Grand Forks Red River on October 16, while Williston looks to bounce back against Minot on October 9.
