JAMESTOWN - Jamestown secured a 1-0 victory over Minot North, improving to 7-8-2 overall and 7-8-1 in the WDA. Minot North fell to 7-10-2 overall and 7-8-1 in the WDA.
The game's lone goal came in the 38th minute when Miles Anderson found the back of the net, assisted by Peace Tumukunde. This crucial goal gave Jamestown the edge they needed in a tightly contested match.
Jamestown's defense held strong throughout the game, with goalkeeper Ethan Harty making six saves to preserve the shutout. Minot North's Griffin Wald recorded one save in the match.
With this win, Jamestown earned a state tournament berth, having secured the tie-break over Minot North. They will face Fargo South on October 16.
