MINOT - Jamestown secured a 4-1 victory over Mandan-St. Mary's, improving their record to 6-8-2 overall. Mandan-St. Mary's now stands at 3-7-5.
Miles Anderson opened the scoring for Jamestown in the 35th minute with an assist from Grady Eckart. Eckart then found the net unassisted in the 46th minute to extend the lead.
Jared Sagaser scored twice for Jamestown, netting goals in the 54th and 61st minutes, both assisted by Anderson. Andrew Gardner scored the lone goal for Mandan-St. Mary's in the 77th minute.
Jamestown remains in the hunt for a state tournament berth. They will face Minot North on October 11. Mandan-St. Mary's will play Bismarck on October 9.
