MINOT - Minot High secured a 2-0 victory over Jamestown, improving their record to 5-1-1 in the Western Dakota Association, while Jamestown fell to 2-5-1.
Tayson Solper opened the scoring for Minot in the 38th minute with an assist from Dylan Oswalt. This goal set the tone for Minot's strong performance.
In the second half, Ethan Hanson doubled Minot's lead in the 59th minute, assisted by Grayson Steele. Goalkeeper Ian Stewart made seven saves to keep Jamestown off the scoreboard.
Minot, unbeaten in its last three matches, will face Bismarck (3-3) on September 9. Jamestown will look to bounce back against Bismarck Century (3-3) on the same day.
