MINOT - Minot North secured a 2-1 victory over Jamestown on August 29, improving to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the Western Dakota Association. Jamestown fell to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Moses Conteh was instrumental for Minot North, scoring both goals for the Sentinels. Conteh opened the scoring in the 8th minute with an unassisted effort, giving Minot North an early lead.
Jamestown's Abel Dolokelen equalized in the 53rd minute with an unassisted goal, but Conteh struck again in the 69th minute, assisted by Jayden Marshall, to secure the win for the Sentinels. Goalkeeper Griffin Wald contributed with four saves.
Minot North looks to carry this momentum into their next matchup against Bismarck Legacy on August 30. Jamestown will face Williston, also on August 30.
