WILLISTON - The Williston Coyotes secured their first victory of the season with a decisive 4-0 win over the Jamestown Blue Jays on Saturday. Williston improved to 1-5 overall and in the Western Dakota Association, while Jamestown fell to 2-3-1 overall, 2-3 in the WDA.

Ababoucarr Jobe opened the scoring for Williston in the 22nd minute, assisted by Tiago Bullones. The Coyotes extended their lead in the 33rd minute with an own goal by Jamestown, with Mamadou Sow credited for the assist.

In the second half, Tiago Bullones found the net in the 52nd minute, with an assist from Ryan Serrano. Ryan Serrano then capped off the scoring in the 64th minute, assisted by Amponsah Boateng. Both goalkeepers, Evan Harty for Jamestown and Tristan Boots for Williston, recorded six saves each.

Williston will look to build on this momentum as they face Mandan-St. Mary's (2-2 overall) on September 2. Jamestown will aim to bounce back in their next matchup against Bismarck (2-2 WDA, 2-2 overall) on September 2.
