JAMESTOWN - Bismarck Legacy defeated Jamestown 2-0 on Thursday night, improving to 3-0 overall and in the Western Dakota Association. Jamestown fell to 2-1 overall and in the conference.
Legacy's Uriel Rivera was instrumental in the victory, scoring both goals for his team. Rivera opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a penalty kick, and he added another goal in the 69th minute, assisted by Owan Joyce.
Goalkeeper James Erickson was solid between the posts for Legacy, making four saves to secure the team's third consecutive shutout. Jamestown's Evan Harty also recorded four saves in a strong effort.
Bismarck Legacy will next face West Fargo Sheyenne, while Jamestown will look to rebound against Minot North on August 29.
