JAMESTOWN - Jamestown secured a commanding 8-1 victory over Dickinson on Tuesday night at JHS Rotary Field. With the win, Jamestown improved to 2-0 in the Western Dakota Association, while Dickinson fell to 0-2.
Abel Dolokelen set the tone early for Jamestown, scoring in the 8th minute with an assist from Miles Anderson. Anderson then found the back of the net himself in the 26th minute, assisted by Grady Eckart. Jamestown continued their offensive surge with Owen Sorlie and Peace Tumukunde scoring back-to-back goals in the 27th minute.
Tumukunde completed a hat trick with goals in the 44th and 80th minutes, the latter assisted by Anderson. Damour Muturusta added to Jamestown's tally in the 57th minute with an assist from Kyler Perkins. Dickinson's Itzael Gonzalez scored their lone goal in the 72nd minute, assisted by Xavier Twist.
Jamestown will face Bismarck Legacy on August 21, while Dickinson looks to regroup against Bismarck on August 23.
