BISMARCK - Bismarck Century edged Bismarck 1-0 in a tightly contested boys' soccer match on October 7. The Patriots improved to 7-5-3, while the Demons fell to 5-8-2.
Charlie Anderson scored the game's only goal in the 60th minute, an unassisted strike that secured the victory for Century. Both teams displayed strong defensive efforts, with each goalkeeper making seven saves.
Century's Nicholas Schlinger and Bismarck's Drew Haberlock were pivotal in keeping the match close, each recording seven saves to deny multiple scoring opportunities.
With this win, Century clinched a state tournament berth and will face Dickinson (1-13) next. Bismarck will look to rebound against Mandan-St. Mary's (3-7) on October 9.
