Minot defeats Bismarck, 3-2

MINOT - Minot High secured a 3-2 victory over Bismarck High, improving their record to 8-3-2, while Bismarck fell to 5-7-2.

Camren Haase opened the scoring for Bismarck in the 20th minute with an assist from Daniel Matthews. Minot responded with a goal from Carson Fiske in the 28th minute.

Grayson Steele put Minot ahead early in the second half, and Caleb Carr extended the lead with an assist from Nolan Schmidt. Matthews scored again for Bismarck in the 74th minute.

Minot clinched a ND state tournament berth with the win. Bismarck will face Bismarck Century on October 7, while Minot prepares for Jamestown on October 4.
