WILLISTON - The Williston Coyotes edged out Bismarck High 2-1 in a tightly contested match, bringing their record to 4-7-1 in the WDA, while Bismarck High fell to 4-5-2.
Williston took an early lead in the 8th minute with a goal from Tiago Bullones, assisted by Luke Llewellyn. The Coyotes extended their lead in the 51st minute when Ryan Serrano scored off a pass from Ababoucarr Jobe.
Bismarck High responded quickly, narrowing the gap in the 53rd minute with a goal by Easton Richardson, assisted by Camren Haase. Despite a strong effort and 11 saves from goalkeeper Tristan Boots, Williston held on for the victory.
Bismarck High will look to rebound in their next matchup against Jamestown (5-6) on September 25, while Williston prepares to face Mandan-St. Mary's (3-5) on the same day.
