JAMESTOWN - Bismarck High defeated Jamestown 4-0 in a conference matchup, improving to 3-2-1 overall and in the WDA, while Jamestown fell to 2-4-1, 2-4-0 WDA.
After a scoreless first half, Lawson Barthalomay opened the scoring for Bismarck in the 59th minute with an unassisted goal. Daniel Matthews then took over the match, scoring three consecutive goals to complete a hat trick.
Matthews scored his first goal in the 69th minute with an assist from Camren Haase. He added another in the 73rd minute, assisted by Mason Seefeld, and capped off his performance with a third goal in the 78th minute, again assisted by Seefeld.
Looking ahead, Bismarck will face Bismarck Legacy on September 4. Jamestown will host Minot on September 6.
