BISMARCK - Bismarck High secured a decisive 5-1 victory over Williston, improving to 1-1 in the Western Dakota Association. Williston fell to 0-3.
Daniel Matthews was the standout performer, scoring four goals for Bismarck. He opened the scoring in the 4th minute with an assist from Camren Haase and added two unassisted goals in the 12th and 29th minutes.
Turner Wynveen also found the back of the net for Bismarck in the 26th minute, with Haase providing his third assist of the match. Williston's Ryan Serrano scored their lone goal in the 31st minute.
Next, Bismarck will face Dickinson on August 23, while Williston looks to regroup against Bismarck Century on August 26.
