WATFORD CITY - Stanley defeated Watford City 3-2 in a thrilling non-conference volleyball match, improving to 1-0 overall while Watford City fell to 3-8.

Watford City started strong, taking the first two sets 25-22 and 26-24, with Mylee Rhone leading the offensive charge with 16 kills. Flynn Robinson and Isabella Vega each contributed 22 assists, facilitating a balanced attack.

Stanley rallied back, winning the next three sets 25-19, 25-20, and 15-11. Watford City's defensive efforts were notable, with Nora McGorman recording 21 digs and adding five service aces to keep the Wolves competitive.

Stanley will next face TMCHS (Belcourt) on October 30, while Watford City looks to rebound against Shiloh Christian on October 9.
