WILLISTON - Bismarck St. Mary's secured a 3-1 victory over Williston on October 21, improving their record to 4-22 overall and 2-12 in the Western Dakota Association. Williston remains winless in the conference at 0-14 and 3-24 overall.
Mataya Messer led St. Mary's with 17 kills and added 11 digs, while Maggie Meyer contributed significantly with 24 assists. Sophia Link was a defensive standout with 29 digs, and Sophia Meyer added five service aces to the team's effort.
For Williston, Ava Nelson and Tenasey Leisy each recorded 13 kills. Alex Austreim provided 33 assists and led the defense with 18 digs. Abigale Ferlan was a force at the net with nine blocks.
St. Mary's next faces Minot (11-3 WDA, 17-10 overall) on October 23, while Williston will look for their first conference win against Dickinson (6-7 WDA, 9-16 overall) on the same day.
