MANDAN - Mandan defeated Minot North 3-2 in a thrilling five-set volleyball match, improving to 7-9 in the WDA and 10-19 overall. Minot North falls to 4-12 in the WDA and 11-17 overall.

Anna Claire Bugbee led Mandan with 14 kills and 3 blocks, while Jersey Hammes added 12 kills and 15 digs. Gabriele Frohlich contributed significantly with 24 assists and 5 service aces, orchestrating the offensive play for Mandan.

For Minot North, Elli Laskowski and Aven Kelly each recorded 10 kills. Brynn Francis showcased her all-around skills with 21 digs and 15 assists. LeAnne Sim also added 21 assists to the team's effort.

Mandan will face Bismarck (10-6 WDA, 17-12 overall) on October 30. Minot North is set to play against Williston (0-16 WDA, 3-26 overall) on the same day.
