MANDAN - Minot High swept Mandan in three straight sets, 26-24, 25-20, 25-12, in their conference opener. Minot improved to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the WDA, while Mandan dropped to 1-6 overall and 0-1 in the WDA.

Kynsli Gillmore led Minot with 12 kills and added 14 digs, showcasing her all-around skills. Brooke Bedell contributed significantly with 10 kills and a service ace. Mackenzie Dufner was instrumental in setting up the offense with 33 assists and also contributed 6 digs and 2 service aces.

For Mandan, Kennedy Keller and Jersey Hammes each recorded 6 kills. Keller also impressed with 4 service aces. Gabriele Frohlich led the team with 14 assists and added 9 digs, while Ella Harris was a defensive anchor with 18 digs.

Minot will look to continue their winning ways against Bismarck Legacy on September 4, while Mandan will face a tough challenge against undefeated Bismarck Century on the same day.
