BISMARCK - Bismarck Legacy edged out Bismarck St. Mary's in a thrilling five-set match, winning 3-2. Legacy improved to 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the WDA, while St. Mary's fell to 2-12 overall and 1-7 in the WDA.
Brooklyn Pudwill led Legacy with 13 kills, while Sammy Watson contributed 12 kills and 1.5 blocks. Marlee Falcon added 8 kills and 1 block. Bentley Solem was instrumental with 37 assists and 14 digs. McKenzie Schilke anchored the defense with 22 digs and 2 service aces.
For St. Mary's, Mataya Messer delivered a standout performance with 15 kills and 14 digs. Maggie Mayer facilitated the offense with 22 assists, while Sophia Link led the defense with 15 digs. Reese Matter also contributed significantly with 10 kills.
Legacy will face Dickinson next on September 30, while St. Mary's will take on Minot North on the same day.
