MINOT - Bismarck Legacy defeated Minot North 3-1 in the conference opener, improving to 2-5 overall and 1-0 in WDA play. Minot North fell to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Finley Fettig led Legacy with 12 kills, while Gracie Watson added 9 kills and 6 digs. Brooklyn Pudwill contributed significantly with 17 assists and 16 digs, showcasing her all-around capabilities.

For Minot North, Aven Kelly delivered an impressive performance with 19 kills and 11 digs. Elli Laskowski and Addy Harper each added 10 kills, with Laskowski also contributing 21 digs to the defensive effort.

Bismarck Legacy will face Minot on September 4, while Minot North will take on Williston the same day.
