JAMESTOWN - Jamestown defeated Bismarck Century 3-1 in a conference volleyball match, improving their record to 18-11 overall and 12-5 in the WDA. Century fell to 27-2 overall and 16-1 in the WDA.
Jamestown took the first set 25-13, displaying strong offensive play. Lucy Falk led the Blue Jays with 17 kills, while Claire Marker added 11 kills, contributing significantly to their win. Amelia Newman and Mari Anderson also played crucial roles with 9 and 8 kills, respectively.
Century responded in the second set, winning 25-19, with Sylvia Taylor leading their attack with 18 kills. Abby Fosland supported with 22 assists and 7 digs. However, Jamestown regained control, taking the third and fourth sets 25-12 and 25-19. Hannah Attleson was instrumental with 29 assists and 12 digs, guiding Jamestown to victory.
Jamestown will face Mandan next, while Century prepares to play Minot on November 4. Both teams look to continue their strong seasons in upcoming matches.
