MANDAN - Bismarck High defeated Mandan 3-1 in a Western Dakota Association volleyball matchup, improving their record to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play, while Mandan fell to 3-11 overall and 2-6 in the WDA.
Bismarck High was led by Dalena Aamot with 11 kills, while Rosalyn Brunelle added 10 kills. Aspen Roaldson orchestrated the offense with 37 assists and contributed defensively with 12 digs. Alannah Kemmis anchored the defense with 18 digs.
For Mandan, Jersey Hammes recorded a match-high 15 kills. Gabriele Frohlich provided 25 assists and 15 digs, while Hadley Harris led the team with 22 digs. Anna Lyles was a force at the net with 5.5 blocks.
Bismarck will face Williston next on September 30, while Mandan will prepare for a matchup against Jamestown on the same day.
