BISMARCK - Bismarck Legacy edged out Bismarck High in a thrilling five-set volleyball match, winning 3-2. Legacy improved to 2-2 in the Western Dakota Association and 3-7 overall, while Bismarck High fell to 3-1 in conference play and 7-3 overall.
Rosalyn Brunelle led Bismarck High with 15 kills and added 8 digs. Jordyn Rood contributed 12 kills and 3 service aces, showcasing her all-around skills. Aspen Roaldson was instrumental with 49 assists and 21 digs, facilitating the offense effectively.
Legacy's balanced attack featured Brooklyn Pudwill, Marlee Falcon, and Sammy Watson each with 11 kills. Bentley Solem orchestrated the offense with 29 assists and also recorded 10 digs. McKenzie Schilke anchored the defense with 16 digs and added 2 service aces.
Looking ahead, Bismarck High faces Minot, who are undefeated in WDA play, on September 16. Bismarck Legacy will take on Bismarck Century, also unbeaten in conference action, on the same day.
