BISMARCK - Bismarck High School opened their conference play with a 3-1 victory over Dickinson, improving their record to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the WDA. Dickinson falls to 1-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
Bismarck set the tone early, taking the first set 25-18. Dickinson responded with a 25-18 win in the second set, but Bismarck regained control with a decisive 25-10 win in the third set. They closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in the fourth set.
Jensen Hintz led Bismarck with 10 kills, while Dalena Aamot and Rosalyn Brunelle contributed nine kills each. Aspen Roaldson directed the offense with 36 assists and added 21 digs. Taylor Mayer and Brunelle each recorded three service aces to bolster Bismarck's performance.
Bismarck will face Bismarck St. Mary's next on September 4, while Dickinson will prepare to take on Minot North on September 6.
