MINOT - Minot North maintained their perfect season with a 26-20 victory over Devils Lake on Friday night, improving their record to 4-0 in the Western Dakota Association and 8-0 overall. Devils Lake fell to 2-2 in the WDA and 5-3 overall.
Minot North's Brayden Blikre led the offensive charge, completing 5 of 10 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Blikre also contributed significantly on the ground with 41 yards on 11 carries, including a crucial touchdown run. Evan Berg was a key target, catching a 2-yard touchdown pass that set the tone early in the game.
For Devils Lake, Mason Palmer showcased his dual-threat capabilities, passing for 338 yards and three touchdowns on 21 completions. Max Palmer was a standout receiver, hauling in 7 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. Despite their efforts, Devils Lake struggled with penalties, committing 16 for 131 yards.
