MINOT - West Fargo edged out Minot High 19-14 in a non-conference showdown, bringing their record to 1-2 while the Magicians fell to 0-3.
West Fargo's Ashton Wigestrand opened the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful PAT from Wyatt Dockter. Minot responded with a 27-yard touchdown run by Ryder Sutton, with Blake Anderson adding the extra point.
Minot took a 14-7 lead into halftime after Sutton connected with Tariq Bell for a 55-yard touchdown pass. However, West Fargo's Aiden Samek scored twice in the second half on runs of 11 and 3 yards, securing the victory despite missed conversions.
The loss marks Minot High's first 0-3 start since 1997, as they look to rebound in upcoming WDA matchups.
