MINOT - West Fargo Sheyenne edged out Minot High 31-27 in a non-conference battle at Duane Carlson Stadium. The victory moves Sheyenne to 1-1 overall, while Minot falls to 0-2.
Minot's Blake Anderson was a standout performer, rushing for 129 yards on 20 carries and scoring a touchdown. Anderson also contributed significantly on special teams, successfully converting two field goals, including a notable 42-yarder.
Sheyenne's Enoch Orukotan found the end zone twice on short runs, while Max Zenker's 29-yard touchdown reception from Ethan Visness proved to be the game-winner with under a minute remaining.
