BISMARCK - Bismarck Legacy continued their impressive season with a commanding 41-12 victory over Minot on Friday night, improving their record to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Western Dakota Association. Minot remains winless at 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Legacy's ground game was dominant, led by Yusuf Jama who rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Jama's scoring runs of 7, 12, and 1 yard highlighted a potent offensive attack. Beckham Presley-McKay also contributed significantly with 64 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just five carries.
Quarterback Brody Weigel added balance through the air, completing 4 of 10 passes for 81 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown pass to Jack Julson. Defensively, Legacy held Minot's passing game in check, limiting them to just 32 passing yards and intercepting a pass.
The win marks Legacy's best start in program history and snaps a two-game losing streak to Minot High, solidifying their position as a top contender in the WDA.
