WILLISTON - Bismarck Legacy overpowered Williston with a decisive 56-18 victory in a Western Dakota Association conference matchup Friday night. The win improved Legacy's record to 1-0 in the WDA and 4-1 overall, while Williston fell to 0-1 in the conference and 0-5 on the season.

Legacy's offense was led by Brody Weigel, who threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, completing 7 of 10 passes. Yusuf Jama dominated on the ground, rushing for 157 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries. Jack Julson was a standout in the receiving corps, hauling in four receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

The Sabers' efficiency was evident as they amassed 430 total yards, with 254 coming on the ground. Legacy's defense also held strong, allowing only 328 total yards from Williston. Despite Williston's efforts, including 194 passing yards, they couldn't match Legacy's offensive firepower.

With this victory, Bismarck Legacy solidifies its position as a formidable contender in the WDA, while Williston continues to search for its first win of the season.
