BISMARCK - In a thrilling conference showdown, Bismarck High edged out Bismarck Legacy 36-29, improving their record to 3-0 in the WDA and 5-2 overall. Legacy fell to 2-1 in the WDA and 5-2 on the season.
Deegan Staudinger was the standout performer for Bismarck High, rushing for 181 yards on 30 carries and scoring two touchdowns. He also contributed in the air with a 35-yard touchdown reception from Hayden Bondley. Bondley completed 9 of 15 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
For Legacy, Brody Weigel was impressive, throwing for 253 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 70 yards and a score. Jack Julson was his primary target, hauling in five catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
The game remained tightly contested until Bismarck High clinched the victory with a late touchdown pass from Bondley to Najeh Boyd, sealing their unbeaten conference record.
