MANDAN - Bismarck High surged to a commanding 41-20 victory over Mandan, improving to 2-0 in WDA play and 4-2 overall, while Mandan fell to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Deegan Staudinger led the Demons with an explosive performance, scoring three touchdowns, including two on the ground and one through the air. Staudinger's 45-yard and 50-yard rushing touchdowns were pivotal in establishing Bismarck's early dominance.
Quarterback Hayden Bondley contributed significantly with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Staudinger and a 1-yard rushing score. Drew Haberlock was reliable on extra points, converting five of six attempts.
Bismarck's defense held strong, limiting Mandan to just 20 points, with Mandan's Cole Carlson throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns but also recording three interceptions.
