MINOT - Bismarck High secured a commanding 43-7 victory over Minot High in a conference matchup on Friday night, improving to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the Western Dakota Association, while Minot fell to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the WDA.
Bismarck's offense was led by Carter Petron, who rushed for three touchdowns, including runs of 8, 4, and 5 yards. Quarterback Hayden Bondley connected with Deegan Staudinger for a 53-yard touchdown pass, showcasing the Demons' dynamic offensive capabilities.
The Demons' defense was equally impressive, recording three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Declan Sims. Bismarck also blocked a punt, contributing to their dominant 23-point third quarter.
This victory marked Bismarck's first win over Minot since 2020, while Minot dropped to 0-5 for the first time since 1997, highlighting the struggles of the Magicians this season.
