BISMARCK - Bismarck High continued its dominance over Fargo North with a 17-7 victory on Friday night, improving to 2-0 overall, while the Spartans fell to 0-2.
Bismarck established an early lead with Weston Scott's 11-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, followed by Deegan Staudinger's 11-yard score in the second. Drew Haberlock converted both extra points, giving the Demons a 14-0 halftime advantage.
Fargo North's only score came in the fourth quarter when Noah Olheiser caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Kellen Dougherty. Dougherty had a strong performance with 98 rushing yards on 11 carries and threw for 99 yards.
Bismarck's defense held strong, with Hayden Bondley contributing both on the ground with 48 rushing yards and in the air with 83 passing yards. The Demons' victory marks their 10th consecutive win over the Spartans.
