MANDAN - Century defeated Mandan 3-1 in a conference volleyball match, improving to 2-0 in the WDA and 4-4 overall, while Mandan fell to 0-2 in the WDA and 4-4 overall.
Mandan took the first set in a close 25-23 victory, but Century responded decisively with a 25-9 win in the second set. Aurora Gross led Century with 11 kills, and Parker Lutman added 10 kills to the team's effort.
Kenley Melby was instrumental with 23 assists for Century, while Kinley Pedersen anchored the defense with 18 digs. Century's net play was strong, totaling 8.5 blocks. For Mandan, AnnaClaire Bugbee had a standout performance with 16 kills, supported by Sierra Gustavsson's 27 assists and 10 digs.
