Legacy defeats Bismarck, 4-3

BISMARCK - Legacy won all four singles matches en route to a non-counter win over rival Bismarck High on Aug. 31 at Sanford Sports Complex. With this win, Legacy improved to 1-0 in the WDA and 3-5 overall, while Bismarck fell to 0-1 in the WDA and 2-4 overall.
Legacy's singles lineup of Connor Svihovec, Braxton Spooner, Kevin Kalb and Easton Hustad earned wins. BHS had the better play in doubles, sweeping all three matches. The winning pairs were: Quin Kleser-Seth Peterson; Micah Leftwich-Adam Peterson; and Evan Torpen-Alek Livengood. The teams will play its WDA counter next month.
Looking ahead, Bismarck will face Mandan (2-0 WDA, 5-0 overall) on September 1, while Legacy prepares to meet Jamestown (0-0 WDA, 0-5 overall) on the same date.
