FARGO - Fargo Shanley and Mandan combined for 96 points and nearly 1,000 yards of total offense in a wild non-conference game at Sid Cichy Field on Sept. 4. Shanley triumphed over Mandan with a 56-40 victory, improving their record to 2-0 overall, while Mandan fell to 1-1.

Fargo Shanley's offense was led by a dynamic performance from quarterback Jacob Perkerewicz who threw for five touchdowns and passed for 380 yards on 29 completions. Perkerewicz also rushed for a team-best 77 yards and three scores.

Mandan signal caller Cole Carlson also had an impressive game, completing 22 passes for 203 yards and two scores. Brandon Baker rushed for a game-high 183 yards and two scores. Looking ahead, Mandan will face West Fargo Horace on September 11, while Fargo Shanley prepares to take on Bismarck, who is 1-0 overall, on the same date.
