JAMESTOWN - Jamestown swept St. Mary's 3-0 in the WDA season opener on Sept. 1 at Jerry Meyer Arena, improving to 1-0 in conference play and 5-2 overall, while St. Mary's fell to 0-1 in the WDA and 3-4 overall.
Jamestown displayed strong play in the first two sets, setting the tone for the match. The Blue Jays' offense was led by standout performances in kills and assists, helping them secure the victory. Lucy Falk finished with a match-best 14 kills. Hannah Attleson has 24 assists.
Defensive efforts from Jamestown were equally impressive, with key contributions in digs and blocks that prevented St. Mary's from gaining momentum throughout the match. The Saints had four players with 10 or more digs led by Ellie Dirk and Maggie Meyer with 15 each.
St. Mary's will next face Bismarck on September 3, while Jamestown prepares to host Williston on September 5.
