BISMARCK - Minot High continued their unbeaten streak with a decisive 7-0 non-counter victory over Bismarck on Sept. 8 at Tom O'Leary Courts. The Magicians are now 9-0 overall and 3-0 in the Western Dakota Association. Bismarck now holds a 1-2 WDA record and 3-6 overall.
The signature match was at No. 1 singles where Minot sophomore Nolan Moore and BHS junior Reed Romsaas went toe-to-toe. Moore took the opening set but Romsaas stormed back in set two. In the decisive third, Moore found his game to complete the win. A third set was also needed in No. 1 doubles. Henrik Evanoff-Owen Sundahl also took set one and needed to find its form in the third to come out on top. Both teams will meet later this month for the WDA counter match.
Minot will face Jamestown, who are seeking their first win of the season, on September 10. Bismarck will prepare to meet West Fargo Sheyenne on September 11.
