DICKINSON - St. Mary's service game was on point, posting 19 aces en route its first WDA win of the season, besting Dickinson, 3-1, on Sept. 17 at Dickinson Gymnasium. The Saints are now 1-5 in the Western Dakota Association and 4-8 overall. Dickinson remains winless in conference play at 0-6, with a 1-11 overall record.

After dropping the opening set, Dickinson would battle to a set two victory that was decided by two points. St. Mary's, however, wrestled back momentum and close out the match with two decisive wins.

Sofia Meyer registered six aces and Maggie Meyer added five. Two SM players had eight kills, Lydia Artlip and Cloey Kraljic. Sophia Schlinger was key in the offensive attack with 17 assists. Maggie Meyer added 13. Sydney Kukowski had 11 digs. Dickinson had a good performance from Claire Rodakowski. She finished with a match-high 13 kills. Jenna Zubke facilitated the offense with 14 assists.

St. Mary's will look to build on this performance against Minot (1-4 WDA, 6-5 overall) on September 22. Dickinson will face Williston (3-4 WDA, 4-9 overall) on the same date.
