Minot North defeats Minot, 3-1

MINOT - Minot North earned its second-ever win over rival Minot High, and first on the road, defeating the Majettes 3-1 in a conference volleyball match on Sept. 10. The victory improved the Sentinels to 3-2 in the WDA and 5-6 overall. Minot dropped to 1-3 in the WDA and 6-4 overall.
Minot North's Elli Laskowski delivered a standout performance with 16 kills and 11 digs, helping her team establish an early lead. Brynn Francis contributed significantly with 25 assists, 10 kills, and 10 digs, showcasing her versatility on the court.
Despite Minot High's spirited comeback in the third set, winning 30-28, they couldn't maintain the momentum. Kynsli Gillmore led the Majettes with 10 kills, while Kiyah Bergrude added 15 assists. Madelyn Hanson was a defensive standout with 17 digs for Minot High.
Minot North will face Mandan (1-2 WDA, 5-4 overall) on September 17, while Minot prepares to host Bismarck (3-0 WDA, 8-1 overall) on September 15.
