MINOT - Minot North raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead en route to a 41-6 non-conference victory over visiting Fargo South on Sept. 4 at Sentinel Stadium. North improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Fargo South fell to 0-2 with the loss.

Cooper Chick rushed for 135 yards on 18 carries and a pair of bookend TDs. Dayvion Clemons added 69 yards on the ground. Quarterback Zander Kleen didn't throw much, but was efficient, completing 5 of 6 for 86 yards and a score. The defense made things difficult for the Bruin offense to generate much traction. And the D-unit also added a score on Cameron Jesz's 50- yard interception return.

Fargo South will look to regroup when they face Devils Lake on September 18. Minot North will aim to continue their winning streak against Grand Forks Red River on September 11.
