FARGO - Wahpeton edged out Century 3-2 in a closely=contested non-conference boys tennis match on Sept. 11.
Three matches required super tie-breaks to decide the outcome. The highlighted match was at No. 1 singles between Ryan Mullaly of Century at Watson Nagel of Wahpeton. Mullally forced a third set, but fell 10-6 in a super tie-break. Century's doubles teams put up a strong fight, capturing both doubles matches. Teddy Andrist and Ryker Dunlop rallied from a set down, to claim a win in a super tie-break. Jacob Gross and Mason Wagendorf also prevailed in a super set. Century is set to compete at the WF Sheyenne Individual Invite on Sept. 12.
