WILLISTON - Minot High stayed unbeaten on the season, jumping out to a 3-0 lead and securing a 4-1 victory over Williston on Sept. 10 at WHS Legends Field. The Magi improved to 5-0-2 in the Western Dakota Association and overall. Williston fell to 2-4-1 in both conference and overall standings.

Nolan Schmidt was instrumental for Minot, scoring two goals in the first half. David Rodriguez also contributed with a goal, giving Minot a commanding lead early in the match.

Grayson Steele added to Minot's tally in the 55th minute, skillfully maneuvering through Williston's defense to center of the field and placing a shot in the top corner. Williston-leading scorer Ryan Serrano managed to score from 25 feet out, preventing a shutout.

Minot will face Mandan-St. Mary's, who hold a 4-1 record, on September 15. Williston looks to bounce back against Jamestown, who are 0-6, on September 12.
