Minot North defeats Williston, 3-0

WILLISTON - Minot North earned its second shutout of the season and snapped a two-match losing skid in the process with a 3-0 win over Williston at WHS Legends Field on Sept. 1. Christian Guerrero staked the Sentinels to a 1-0 lead at the half and North added two more goals to pick up its fourth victory of the season. Jayden Marshall and Anthony Winter Jr. also scored. Five players registered at least one point. Griffin Wald turned away all five shots to record a second shutout. Williston keeper Tristan Boots made seven saves.
Minot North will next face Mandan-St. Mary's, who are undefeated at 2-0, on September 10. Williston will look to bounce back against Dickinson on September 8.
