Century defeats Minot North, 4-3

MINOT - Century build a 4-1 lead and then held off a late charge by Minot North to earn a 4-3 WDA road win on Aug. 27 at Sentinel Stadium.
The Patriots improved to 2-1-0 in the WDA and overall. Minot North dropped to 2-2-1 in the WDA and 3-2-1 overall.
Century's offensive prowess was on display, with the team netting four goals. This brings their total to 12 goals in their last three matches. Gaege Gangness scored twice. Teagan Schlichenmayer's tally proved to be the game-winning marker. Minot North added a couple of goals late, but for a second match in a row, fell behind and couldn't recover. Gavin Wald had three points for North (1 goal and 2 assists). Michael Brown led the charge with two goals, keeping the match competitive until the final whistle.
Looking ahead, Century will face Jamestown (0-3) on September 1, while Minot North will prepare to host Williston (1-2) on the same date.
