BISMARCK - Junior Liam Chathams netted a pair of goals and Bismarck High secured a 4-1 victory over Jamestown on September 10 at MDU Resources Community Bowl, improving to 4-2-1 in the Western Dakota Association and 5-2-1 overall. Jamestown remains winless at 0-6-2 in both conference and overall play.

Sam Anderson staked the home team to a 1-0 lead and then Chathams doubled with 11th minutes to play in the opening half. Jamestown's Grady Eckart converted a penalty kick shortly after to narrow the margin. But the 'Jays couldn't generate much offense in the second half. The Demons matched their season-high with four goals. Bismarck's defense held strong, allowing only one goal in the contest. Jamestown goalie Evan Harty had a busy night, making 12 stops.

Looking ahead, Jamestown will face Williston, who stands at 2-3, on September 12. Bismarck will also meet Williston in their next matchup on September 15.
