Bismarck defeats Mandan, 3-0

MANDAN - Bismarck High started quick and never took the foot off the gas, earning an impressive sweep over rival Mandan in WDA play on Sept. 24. BHS improved heir record to 5-3 in the Western Dakota Association and 10-4 overall. Mandan fell to 2-6 in the WDA and 6-8 overall.
Rosalyn Brunelle led the Demons with a team-best 12 kills. The balanced Bismarck attack saw eight players register at least one kill, showcasing their depth. Bryar Jahner orchestrated the offense with 18 assists, while Laila Nehs contributed 14 assists. Ava Mischel anchored the defense with 16 digs, providing stability in the back row. The Demons' cohesive play helped them snap a two-match losing streak. Mandan, meanwhile, had strong net play again from AnnaClaire Bugbee. She finished with eight kills. Sierra Gustavsson finished with 21 assists. Eight players had a dig with Hadley Harris leading the way with 12.
Bismarck will face Dickinson on October 1. Mandan is set to play Jamestown on September 29.
