Legacy defeats Mandan, 3-0

MANDAN - Legacy powered its way to a fourth consecutive WDA win with a sweep of Mandan on Sept. 22 at Starion Bank Gymnasium. The Sabers improved their record to 9-4 overall and 6-1 in the WDA. Mandan fell to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in the WDA.
Brooklyn Pudwill led the Sabers with 13 kills, showcasing her offensive prowess. Zoe Flemmer orchestrated the attack with 31 assists. The Sabers' defense was anchored by Sammy Watson, who recorded 12 digs, leading three players in double figures for digs. The squad also had nine blocks and eight aces.
A trio of Mandan players finished with six kills -- AnnaClaire Bugbee, Kinsley Ulberg and Kennedy Keller. Sierra Gustavsson had a team-best 19 assists. Hadley Harris finished with 17 digs while Kennedy Keller added 16.
Legacy will next face St. Mary's, who hold a 4-9 overall record, on September 24. Mandan will look to bounce back against Bismarck, who are 9-4 overall, on the same day.
